Skellefteå takes control after late winner, Linköping ties it after overtime win.
Regular season winners and last season's champions Skellefteå are on track for a semi final spot with a 2-0 lead against HV71 but in tonight's second game it was a close call. Skellefteå had control of the game with a 2-0 lead after the first but HV71 came back and Toni Rajala tied the game early in the third period.
With one minute left of the game Filip Sandberg's shot hit the crossbar, so close for a winning goal for HV71 but instead just under one minute later, with just six seconds left to the game Fredrik Lindgren scored the game winner for Skellefteå after converting a drop pass from Joakim Lindström.
A very hard loss for HV71 and Skellefteå has a big grip of that series.
Linköping and Frölunda are tied at one after a long second game tonight. Frölunda won the first game 3-2 on Saturday but today Linköping took revenge and won 2-1 after overtime.
It was the league's top goal scorer Chad Kolarik who scored the winner five minutes into the second overtime period. A nice pass by Daniel Rahimi opened up for Kolarik who fired home a great shot despite a some what tight angle.
Tomorrow game two in the other two series will be played. Luleå-Växjö and Färjestad-Brynäs, Växjö and Färjestad won the first games.
Today the first round of the qualification round to SHL was played. The most notable game was the derby between AIK and Djurgården that AIK won 2-1 after 2-0 in the third period. The other results were Malmö-Västerås 3-2 SO and Rögle-Örebro 3-4. The top two teams will play in SHL next year.
