Müllers shutout leaves HC Davos frustrated and with questions

Game 4 took place in the hockey cathredal in Davos. It was a slow start into the game for both teams. On the side of Davos, Andres Ambühl and and Reto von Arx were missing due to injuries, on Klotens side, top scorer Peter Mueller was also missing due to injury and Martin Gerber was missing due to the game misconduct of the last game. For Gerber, Jonas Müller played his first full postseason game for the Flyers.

2 minor penalties on each side gave both teams a chance to play their power- and boxplay and it was Klotens powerplay that was successful a first time. Mathias Bieber scored the goal on a pass from US american Josh Hennessy who played his first postseason game for Kloten and Tommi Santala. 1:0 was the score after the first period, Kloten with slightly more shots on goal (7:10) than Davos.

The second period started with a powerful Flyers team, almost playing a 5:5 powerplay but Kloten wasn't able to capitalise on the chances. It took almost 17 minutes in the
second period when Cyrill Bühler scored on Leonardo Genoni, again assisted by Josh Hennessy.

Period 3 and Davos now had to play more offensive and take more risks but instead of creating goal chances on the 3 powerplays that they were awarded it was Eric Blum who scored on a 6 on 5 situation in the 55th minute, assisted by Romano Lemm and Michael Liniger. With this, the will of Davos was broken and so the game ended 0:3. For Jonas Müller it was his first shutout of the postseason

The Flyers now have the chance to take the lead for the first time in this serie on Thursday at home but as predicted by many, this quarterfinal won't be over quickly as both teams
show the potential to advance to the semifinals.
