Good old sweep for Fribourg
The series between Fribourg and Ambri over in four games; Break for Geneva;
Ambri 2 Fribourg 4 (series 0-4)
The Ambri's adventure in the playoffs is already over. After seven years in play-out Ambri is in a well deserved vacation.
Beaten three times in as many games, Ambri played the fourth game to not being swiped at home. And that was actually easy to say it then do it. Putting heart and determination was not enough against a team like Fribourg. The system in neutral zone by Kossmann was difficult to pass.
A goal by Giroux at minute 19 gave hope to home team, but two goals in twenty seconds by Sprunger and Hagman gave Fribourg an advantage in the game. Home boy Inti Pestoni gave a tie game for home 50 seconds after the third period started. But Fribourg came out strong and with two goals by Sprunger(two goals) and Mauldin resolved the game and the series.
Sandro Zurkirchen with 36 saves and Julien Sprunger with two goals were the best players in the ice.
Lugano 1 Geneva 2 (series 1-3)
In the game four Lugano played literally against a wall named Tobias Stephan. When you have that kind of goalie in your team, then you have a good probability to steal the game.
Lombardi celebrated his 32nd birthday with the opening goal, with only 2'52 minutes in the game. Simek scored the second in the of the first period and after that Geneva controlled the game.
In third period Lugano had a good reaction with a goal by Danny lrmen, but it was to late. Geneva defended well and Stephan stooped everything. Break for Geneva and the life is more difficult for Lugano. Thursday night they have to do better then the two first periods to still have a hope in series.
