The Braehead Clan kicked off their playoff campaign with a huge 4 - 0 win over the defending champions Nottingham Panthers.

Neil Trimm opened the scoring late in the opening frame before adding a second on the powerplay midway through the second period.
Two minutes after the Clan took a 2 - 0 lead, Ash Goldie found the net, and a fourth from Joel Champagne in the third gave the Clan the win and left the Panthers a mountain to climb on Saturday night.
