After a splendid performance by the Finnish Flash at the Sochi Olympics Eurohockey.com names him European Player of the Month for February 2014.
The 43-year old veteran led Finland to the bronze medals at the 2014 Olympics.
Teemu Selänne scored four goals and added two assists in the six games. Two of the goals were scored in the bronze medal game against USA.
"We believed that we can win the bronze," said Selänne to IIHF.com. "I'm so proud of my guys. We were talking before the game: 'Let's play for ourselves. We deserve a great ending.' And we got that. Nobody really believed in us, but we did."
Selänne was named Most Valuable Player by the accredited media and was also selected for the All-Star Team.
