Köln wins Game 6 in Ingolstadt with 1-0 in overtime and forces Game 7 in Köln on tuesday.
The DEL finals will go the full distance to Game 7. The Kölner
Haie won another intense game today in overtime, when Mirko Lűdemann scored on
a shot from the circle 5 minutes into OT.
Before that both teams didn’t want to give their opponents a
single inch of ice without a big fight. A lot of battles on the boards and still they were able to create big chances. But Timo Pielmeier and Danny aus den
Birken denied everything. So the excitement kept getting bigger with every
minute. With 2 minutes left in regulation Ziga Jeglic had the last big chance
to get the win for Ingolstadt when he suddenly got the puck totally free in front of
aus den Birken but missed the shot.
And so it was Mirko Lűdemann who brought the series back to
Köln for Game 7 on Tuesday. It was the first win after 3 consecutive losses for the Sharks.
