Denmark recorded their first win ever against the Czech Republic. Key win for Belarus.
Denmark took their first ever win against Czech Republic with 4-3 win after shootout. Despite a tough start with two power play goals for the Czechs the Danes came back with two late goals. Jesper Jensen made it 2-3 at 55:31 with a power play goal.
And with 53 seconds left Patrick Bjorkstrand picked up a loose puck and netted the equalizer taking the game to overtime and shootout where Mikkel Bødker scored the only goal.
In the other group host Belarus took key a win. Belarus came from 0-2 to win 5-2 against Germany to keep their quarter final dreams alive. Super star Mikhail Grabovski scored two goals and added one assist.
