Strong comeback by HV71

In the first home game of the SHL season HV71 was down 1-4 to Linköping but managed to turn it to a win. Other winners in SHL today are Skellefteå, Frölunda, Brynäs, Djurgården and Luleå.
HV 71 - Linköping HC 6 - 4 (1-3, 2-1, 3-0)
Things looked bad for HV71 in the first home game of the season. Down 1-4 to Linköping after half the game. Then Linköping's Jeff Taffe got a Match Penalty for an elbowing and the momentum changed totally. HV71 got back-to-back 2-man advantages and scored both times. First Björn Melin and the Marcus Nilsson. The home team would also tie the game at 43:14 when Christoffer Törngren nicely set up Patrik Carlsson. Calle Ridderwall got the game-winning goal six minutes before the end when he forced the puck past Marcus Högberg for his first ever SHL goal. Riley Holzapfel added 6-4 in the empty net in the last minute of the game.
Skellefteå AIK - MODO Hockey 6 - 2 (2-0, 4-0, 0-2)
Last season's champion Skellefteå got a comfortably win in the first home game. The game ended 6-2 but the home team had a 6-0 lead already after two periods. Erik Forssell and Axel Holmström scored two goals each.
Örebro HK - Frölunda HC 1 - 2 (0-0, 0-0, 1-1, 0-1)
The game between Frölunda and Örebro was still scoreless after two periods. Then the CHL success Andreas Johnson scored 1-0 for the visitors at 41:51. Less than three minutes later MArtin Johansson tied it for Örebro. Mathis Olimb decided the game in favor of Frölunda when he scored on the first shot of the overtime period. Frölunda is after the win on top of the SHL standings.
Brynäs IF - Leksands IF 4 - 1 (0-0, 1-0, 3-1)
The Brynäs captain Niclas Andersén got three points, one goal and two assists, in the home win over Leksand. His goal was the first of the game, scored at 39:22. Sebastian Enterfeldt, Oskar Lindblom and Anton Rödin scored for the home team in the third period.
Djurgårdens IF - Växjö Lakers HC 2 - 1 (1-0, 0-1, 0-0, 0-0, 1-0)
Marcus Sörensen was behind Djurgården's win today. He scored 1-0 in the fourth minute and decided the shootout. Robert Rosén scored for Växjö twelve seconds before the end of the second period.
Färjestads BK - Luleå HF 2 - 3 (1-1, 0-1, 1-1)
Per Ledin got the winning goal for Luleå at 48:01. The Luleå youngsters Lucas Wallmark (1+1) and Daniel Zaar (0+2) continue to impress.
