GamYo wins in overtime. Solid wins for Chamonix and Rouen. Briançon still in the darkness.
Angers – Epinal 3-4 OT (1-1, 2-1 ,0-1, 0-1)
Epinal surprised Angers at home and confirmed his leadership.Canadian Alain Goulet scored two goals including the overtime goal and goalkeeper Hocevar realized a good performance for GamYo.
Rouen – Caen 10-0 (3-0 , 4-0 , 3-0 )
Big win for the Dragons in the Normandy’s derby. Caen, without top scorer Poudrier resisted fifteen minutes before collapsing. The young defender Leo Guillemain scored his first ever goal in Ligue Magnus. Rouen’s forwards spent also a very good moment ,Guenette, Desrosiers and Charland scored two goals.
Chamonix – Grenoble 3-0 (1-0 , 2-0 , 0-0)
Impressive win for Chamonix against favorites. Thanks to a solid defence and three goals by Laurent Gras , Julien Tremblay and Matt Bissonnette Chamonix confirms that the other teams will have to do with us.
Morzine-Avoriaz –
Strasbourg 6-7 (2-1 , 2-3 ,2-3)
Despite a slow start, The alsacian club succeeded to win a second victory in a match characterized by a rain of goals. Captain Elie Marcos scored three goals.
Brest – Briançon 3-2 (0-1, 2-0 ,1-1)
Again a loss for defending champion ,this time against an underdog. Briançon scored the first goal by Bernier in the first period but two goals for Brest gave them the lead. In a dramatic lest period,Czech forward Jaroslav Prosvic scored the GWG at 58’15 to secure the victory.
Lyon – Gap 5-4 OT (1-2, 1-1, 2-1, 1-0)
First and historic first win for the Lions who scored all the goals in powerplay!Gap lead the match 4-2 at the beginning of the third period but Lyon equalized just 20 seconds before the end of the game.In overtime Vincent Couture scored the decisive goal.
