HV 71 - Skellefteå AIK 4 - 3 (2-1, 2-2, 0-0)
HV 71 retired former captain Johan Davidsson's jersey (#76) before this game in a sold out arena.
"Of course it is with pride I stand here today. And it is with gratitude I feel that HV71 has given me opportunity to rejoice, and be a little sad sometimes", Davidsson said in his speech.
Anton Bengtsson scored 1-0 for HV already in the second minute. Björn Melinmade it 2-0 on the home team'sfirst powerplay. Andrew Calof scored for Skellefteå at 16 minutes and Tim Heed in the opening of the second period and the game was tied. HV would however a few minutes later restore the 2-goal lead when Calle Ridderwall and Ted Brithén scored within 26 seconds. Andrew Calof scored his second goal at 32:59 for 4-3 but the game saw no more goals.
Växjö Lakers HC - Luleå HF 4 - 2 (1-0, 3-1, 0-1)
Luleå suffered the first loss of the season when they visited Växjö. The game was decided in the second period when Växjö went from 1-1 to a 4-1 lead on a goal by Tuomas Kiiskinen and two by Liam Reddox.
MODO Hockey - Leksands IF 5 - 3 (1-0, 1-3, 3-0)
Leksand was down 2-0 but managed to turn it to a 3-2 lead late in the second period. But they didn't get their first points of the season. In the third period Oscar Hedman, Victor Olofsson and Per-Åge Skrøder scored for MODO to win the game 5-3.
Brynäs IF - Linköping HC 4 - 3 (2-1, 1-1, 0-1, 1-0)
From the second minute, when Jens Lööke scored his first SHL goal, Brynäs was in the leas all the time until five minutes before the end when Broc Little tied it for Linköping. Oscar Eklund then scored the winner for the home team in the overtime.
Färjestads BK - Frölunda HC 3 - 2 (1-0, 1-2, 0-0, 0-0, 1-0)
After nine missed shots in the penalty shootout between Färjestad and Frölunda Per Åslund finally managed to beat Linus Fernströmto give the home team the win.
Örebro HK - Djurgårdens IF 5 - 4 (2-0, 1-1, 1-3, 1-0)
The sold-out game in Behrn Arena was decided in overtime when Tomas Skogs scored 5-4 for the host at 63:32. Örebro had what should have been a safe lead late in the third period but Djurgården scored three goals in the last 2:05 to get a point.
