In a penalty filled game, the tournament host HC Davos only needed one goal to advance to the Semi-finals.
Davos came out of the locker room with much tempo when after 87 seconds, forward Marcus Paulsson scored a first time for HC Davos while Sven Ryser received the assist. After this first goal, 13 minor penalties were given to players of both teams 8 against Davos, 5 against Zagreb and neither team was able to bury the puck behind the opposing goaltender. The second period remained goalless with 10 shots coming from each team. Also the 3rd period didn't see any goals as Zagreb tried to get the goal but didn't succeed. This means that Zagreb will face Ufa while Team Canada faces Jokerit Helsinki to find the second Semi-finalist.
