Coaches and captains have chosen the best players for the season
As usual, after the end of the regular season, three Swiss newspapers - "Tribune de Genève", "Bund" and "Tages-Anzeiger" - asked to NLA coaches and captains to choose the best players of the season.
For the third time, after prize in 2000-01 and 2012-13, SC Bern forward Martin Plüss won the title of MVP, mainly due to his amazing scoring avarage - 45 points (23+22) in 49 games. Plüss, 37, finished before another veteran, Lausanne goalie, Cristobal Huet, winner of the Best goalkeeper award. Lausanne takes home another prize: Heinz Ehlers was named Coach of the Year.
Other titles are for Swedish Daniel Sondell (EV Zug) as Best Defender, Fredrik Pettersson (Lugano), named Best Forward and Dario Simion (Davos), Revelation of the Season.
