Tied again in the Swedish finals
Skellefteå won the away game against Växjö to tie the SHL finals at two.
The fourth game of the SHL finals ended just like the previous three with an away win. Skellefteå would be in big trouble in case of the loss today, but the reigning champion got away with yet another win on the road after a late goal by Pär Lindholm.
At 3:03 Axel Holmström opened the scoring for the guests with a really strong individual effort. Stefan Steen in the Växjö net was unlucky to allow the first shot he faced in the game. Steen guarded the net for the second consecutive game as Cristopher Nihlstorp is out with an illness. Holmström has now scored sixteen points (7+9) in the playoffs and leads the scoring list. He also broke the Sedin twins' record for most points by a junior in the playoffs.
Skellefteå kept the lead for almost 50 minutes before Jeff Tambellini tied it on a quick power-play combination. It then didn't take more than two minutes for Pär Lindholm to restore the Skellefteå lead.
Markus Svensson in the Skellefteå net impressed once again with 19 saves.
The final series is now tied 2-2. Game 5 will be played on Tuesday, game 6 on Thursday and game 7 (if needed) on Saturday.
