Two days before the official meeting in Budapest, the groups of next Continental Cup are known
The hunt for successor of Neman Grodno - winner of last edition earning a spot in Champions League - will start officially next saturday in Budapest, when the teams partecipating in the next IIHF Continental Cup will hold an organizational meeting. But Polish champion GKS Tychy, aiming to organize one of the group of Second Round, published on its website the list of partecipants and the composition of the groups. As in last edition, no team are automatically qualified for Superfinals, unlike what happened in the past, and the venue of last act will be assigned to one of the teams qualified through the three rounds of competition. If the foresight of Tychy is correct, 17 teams entered in the competition, with only Herning Blue Fox (DEN), Dragons de Rouen (FRA) and HC Kremenchuck (UKR) not representing the domestic champion. Denmark and France have champion in CHL, while Ukrainian title holder ATEK Kyiv declined the invitation. A team from Israel - Rishon Ice Devils - is back after the last partecipation of HC Metulla in 2012-13
