Tomi Kallio returns home to Finland and TPS
After 13 years and 637 games in SHL, one of Finlands greatest player through the years, Tomi Kallio are moving back home to play in TPS.
Tomi Kallio left reigning champions Växjö Lakers after the season 2014/15, to return to Finland and TPS. Kallio was one the greatest player in Swedish Hockey and everywhere he came, he were respected. Kallio came to Frölunda HC from Philadelphia Flyers in NHL midseason 2002/03 and represented the team from Gothenburg for nearly nine years, before he signed with Växjö Lakers 2011/12.
Kallio played four years in Växjö and served as a captain last season. In 637 SHL-games, Kallio recorded a total of 464 points divided in 211 goals and 253 assists and it's pretty good by a player of his caliber. But now he's moving back to Finland to play in TPS in Liiga. Last time Kallio played in the finnish league, he represented TPS. He have also represented Finland National Team in 78 games and notched 45 points (21+24). On his record Kallio have three SM-Trophies, three WC-silver medals, two WC-bronze medals and two liiga-trophies.
The contract with TPS is signed to one year.
