Concussion of the brain stops Cam Abbott from further play
Cam Abbott, 31, is forced to stop playing hockey. Too many hits at his head with concussions to the brain stops the Luleå HF player to end his career. -"I have to stop and keep my health," he said to Norrbottens-Kuriren.
At several times, Cam Abbott has got hits against his head and that is now what makes the 31-year old forward to stop playing. Cam have a history of concussions to the brain since 201/11, but now he's tired of being away from hockey because of that.
Therefore, Cam have decided to lay his skates aside: -"I'm 31- years old and when I quit, I want to have a good health," he said to Norbottens-Kuriren. Cam
Abbott represented Luleå HF in 276 games and recorded a total of 166 points. His twin brother, Chris Abbott (HV71) says: -"I can only imagine how difficult it must have been for him to make that decision, but I support him in every way I can."
Chris continues: -"He's made the decision and it's very hard on him. He still have the symptoms that he suffers from and when the pulze goes down after training, he's getting a headache."
