New farm teams for ERC Ingolstadt
The 2013-14 DEL champions were forced to change cooperation partners after the relegation of EV Landshut this summer.
DEL top team ERC Ingolstadt announced their cooperation partners for the 2015-16 season. Last summer the club had introduced a farm system similar to the one used by NHL teams to give their young players better development opportunities.
Ingolstadt's DEL2 partners EV Landshut were relegated due to not complying with licence requirments of their league this summer. This made a continuation of the 2-year partnership impossible for the DEL champions of 2014 and finalists of 2015. Instead they will cooperate with DEL2 team ESV Kaufbeuren.
Ingolstadt's goalie Marco Eisenhut, defenders Stephan Kronthaler, Fabio
Wagner und Simon Schütz and forwards Marc Schmidpeter and David
Elsner get a development licence to play for DEL2 team Kaufbeuren. At the same time some Kaufbeuren players will train with the DEL team from Ingolstadt in the preseason and get the chance to get a roster spot with them.
The successful partnership with EV Regensburg from 3rd tier Oberliga Süd will continue. Ingolstadt also added another Oberliga partner with EHC Bayreuth.
