World Cup of Hockey - Part 5. Team Czech Republic

World Cup of Hockey hasn't been played since 2004 and last team to win the Cup is Canada. Now as the prestigious tournament is back, there's no questions about it being filled with star players.

Team Czech Republic was supposed to give their home fans a great tournament, as the 2015 World Championship was held in Ostrava and Prague. But Czech Republic ended up in fourth place, as they lost to Team USA, 3-0, in the Bronze Medal game.

Almost all of the leaders from the "golden generation" that won gold medals at the World Championship six times and at the 1998 Nagano Olympics between 1996 and 2010 are gone. For the 2016 World Cup in Toronto, Czech Republic will possibly have a great team and it could look like this. Observe that this is just a preliminary squad.

Petr Mrazek, Detroit Red Wings
Michal Neuvirth, Philadelphia Flyers
Ondrej Pavelec, Winnipeg jets
