Great night for Gaetan Haas with three points including the game winning goal;
Biel 3 Zürich 2
Biel started the game at full gas but it was Zürich who opened the score at 1:13 when Robert Nilsson did profit from a pass by Luca Cunti. Before the 10th minute the visiting team had two more opportunities to score but goalie Lucas Meili was able to stop both pucks. Biel tied the game at 11:19 by new rising Swiss star Gaetan Haas who was assisted by top scorer Ahren Spylo. Lukas Meili would make another great save in a power play situation for Zürich when Robert Nilsson couldn't score the second goal for the visiting team.
After ten minutes in the second period, without knowing where the game would go, Bienne scored through captain Matthieu Tschantre, assisted by Gaetan Haas. In the third period after avoiding a dangerous power-play from Zürich, Biel receveid the second goal against, after a well done shot by former NHL player Marc-Andre Bergeron. But Biel had Gaetan Haas in great shape and he scored one more time. And this time it was for the game winning goal. Gaetan Haas has now six points in three games and Biel profits by jumping into the third place with seven points
Matthieu Tschantre (Biel captain): "Today we were more fresh than last Saturday against Bern. We had a better quality in the game. Our line was particularly good tonight but that’s because we know each other for years. It get's more easy. A player like Tim Stepleton didn't score yet but he does a great job at defense. Not all the foreigners are able to do that for the team."
Fribourg 4 Geneva 2
The first goal of the game was scored almost in the end of the first period by Flávio Schmutz, assisted by John Fritsche. The home team scored the second goal by Canadian Zachary Hamil, but soon Geneva answered with a goal by Kevin Romy. But this game definitely showed Fribourg wanted the victory more and at minute 27:12 Benny Pluss would score the third one assisted in a power-play situation by Julien Sprunger. Before the second period ended Geneva scored in power play through Matt D’Agostini assisted by Johan Fransson. In the beginning of the third period Benny Pluss scored his second goal of the game putting the result in 4-2 for home team. Fribourg is now in the first place after three games
Ambri 2 Bern 4
At Valascia, Bern opened the score soon in the game, top scorer Alain Berger scored assisted by new Bern star Cory Conacher. In the beginning of the second period Bern scored the second goal. Andrew Ebbett was assisted by Chuck Kobasew. Oliver Kamber made the first for Ambri at 25:12 .Showing that home team wouldn't go down without putting s fight. The third goal for the visiting team was scored one more time in Canadian fashion, one more time Andrew Ebbett in power-play . Mark Bastl scored the second for Ambri in an last hope for the home team. But the visiting team would score the fourth goal in open cage by Simon Moser.
