It's been going on for a while and the rumors have travelled, but now the deal is through. After three years away playing in different leagues, Adam Almqvist returns to HV71. The contract is signed on two years.
Adam Almqvist, 24, havebeen training with HV71 since they had their icepremiere in the beginning of August. Adam Almqvist is born in and raised in Jönköping. He was in the team that won the trophy 2010. After the 2012 season, Adam tried his luck in North America and later on Russia.
-"It's an incredible feeling to come home and play for HV71 again. I will take the experiences with me that I have gained in North America and Russia and I will do everything that I can to reach success with HV71," Adam Almqvist said to HV71.
HV71's Sporting Director, Johan Hult is thrilled and eased that the deal is closed: -"We and Adam have been in discussions for a while and he have already been training with the team the whole time. He's going to be an important assett to our team with his skills and qualities in the offensive play," Johan said.
HV71 hopes that he will be ready for the teams opening game against Skellefteå AIK tomorrow night.
