There were four games played in SHL today and Eurohockey will sum them up here.
Brynäs won the game at Johanneshov, which was a
little surprising due to Djurgårdens' win in the last homegame
against last seasons finalists Skellefteå. But in this game, Brynäs
were the stronger team and won 2-1. The twins Ponthus and Patrik Westerholm
scored the goals for Brynäs. Marcus Högström scored the goal
for Djurgården.
Färjestad BK - Växjö Lakers HC
4-1 (1-1, 1-0, 2-0)
Reigning champions Växjö Lakers lost
their third straight game tonight. Home team Färjestad claimed a
comfortable victory in Löfbergs Arena. Two quick goals was scored in
the first period, one goal each with only 23 seconds apart. Färjestad
scored the only goal in the 2nd period, Tomas Skogs was the scorer.
The hometeam made the goal-lamp buzz
two more times in the last period and the game ended 4-1.
HV
71 - Örebro HK 4 - 1 (0-0, 2-1, 2-0)
With seven players on
the injury list, it's quite impressing that HV71 got away with a win
in this game. Mattias Tedenby made two goals in the last period in
Kinnarps Arena for the teams second straight win at home .
IF
Malmö Redhawks - Frölunda HC 4-5 (2-2, 1-1, 1-1, 0-0, 0-1)
A
very exciting game to watch. Frölunda got the lead with two quick
goals in the middle of the first period. Before twenty minutes had
gone, Malmö leveled the game. In the last two periods, the teams
alternated to have the lead. The game finished 4-4 and after a
scoreless overtime, Frolunda got the extra point in a shootout.
