HIFK takes a 3-1 lead in the SM-Liiga semi finals against Lukko. JYP got their first win against Blues in the third game.

HIFK scored a goal in each of the three periods to win the game 3-0 and take a 3-1 lead in the semi final series against Lukko. Eetu Pöysti, Toni Söderholm and Turo Järvinen got the goals. Juuso Riksman in the net made 25 saves for the shur-out.

Regular season winner surprisingly lost the first two games of the series and they were down also in game three for a long time. Blues took the lead at 9:04 when Ville Lajunen scored on Pekka Tuokkala. JYP didn't tie the game until the 27-minute mark when Harri Pesonen scored on apower play. 2-1 (Eric Perrin) and 3-1 (Mikko Viitanen) both came in the 34th minute of the game. With 25 seconds remaining Roope Talaja scored the second Blues goal of the game but JYP's Jari Jääskeläinen made it 4-2 3 seconds before the end.
