We are very glad and honored to announce the creation of the Royal Moroccan Ice Hockey Federation (la Fédération Royale Marocaine de Hockey sur Glace, FRMHG). The FRMHG will take over as the governing body of Ice Hockey in Morocco.
We are very glad and honored to announce the creation of the Royal Moroccan Ice Hockey Federation (la Fédération Royale Marocaine de Hockey sur Glace, FRMHG). The FRMHG will take over as the governing body of Ice Hockey in Morocco.
The FRMHG is the result of hard work, determination and vision of a group of patriots and Hockey enthusiast. Way before the opening of the first ice rink in 2005, these Moroccan pioneers had a dream that Morocco can be with the great of this sport.
These hardworking dreamers, with Khalid Mirini as their president, brought the first arab and Muslim country to the prestigious Quebec Pee-Wee tournament in 2006. Together they achieved a Bronze medal at the first Arab cup in 2008. And in 2010, Morocco was admitted as a member of the IIHF (International Ice Hockey Federation). Morocco flag flies along all these great nation of Hockey.
Today we celebrate this important event. At the same time, we are looking forward to the important tasks to meet the expectations of his Majesty, May God glorify him.
