The first round of the MOL League playoffs are underway this week with a best out of three playoff series. The lower seeded team is the host of the opening game with the next two being played at the venue of the higher seeded team.
Fehérvár AV19 (3)-Ferencvárosi TC (6)
Fehérvár had an outstanding first season back in the MOL League considering that they are a farm team and players being called up to the EBEL squad. They had a number of injured on the blue line throughout the season. Gergely Korbuly is out for the rest of the season with Ádám Z Hegyi also having some problems at the end of the season. Fehérvár will also have some of the players from the EBEL squad playing down but it will most likely be the younger players.
Ferencváros is back in the playoffs after being left out the last couple of seasons. They have a shorter bench with in general but what they are lacking in depth they make up in grit. They will be without Márton Mach, Dávid Horváth, Zalán Fliszár, Attila Rafaj and Bence Zalavári for the rest of the season.
