Herning Blue Fox wins the Danish championship for the 15th time after defeating Frederikshavn White Hawks in the final.

Herning Blue Fox is Danish champions again after winning the final series versus Frederikshavn White Hawks with 4-1. After losing the first game Herning won four games in a row to clinch the title. The last however was a real thriller and Frederikshavn looked good to win when they had a 3-1 lead after the first period.

But Herning came back and after heavily dominating the game the league's top scorer Bryan Marshall finally made it 2-3 for Herning late in the second period. Tobias Salmelainen tied the game six minutes into the third period and the home fans almost lifted the roof in Kvik Hockey Arena. After the goal however Herning lost some of their energy and Frederikshavn had some good chances to score the game winner.

But no more goals were scored and the game went to overtime. Frederikshavn was so close to score the game winner on two on one situation but instead Herning went on a counter attack and Marshall made his second goal of the game and number ten of the playoff with a high shot on the near post. Of course the league's superior top scorer scored the championship winning goal.
