The home team South Africa got a key win against Luxembourg and the hope for the Championship title still remains. But for that to come true Israel must lose to Greece or Turkey.

Joaquim Valadas scored 1-0 for South Africa after twon minutes but Robert Beran replied, also in the first period. George Lyon scored 2-1 on power-play with the only goal of the second period. Luxembourg tied the game once again when Benny Welter scored at 41:22. Andre Marais made it 3-2 for South Africa and 4-2 by Burton Matthews came just 38 seconds later. Cameron Birrell added the 5-2 goal with a little more than 2 minutes remaining.
