Kazakhstan beat Poland 4-2 on day 4 of the World Championship Div.I in Kyiv, Ukraine. Ukraine beat Estonia 5-2 and Great Britain also won 5-2 against Lithuania.

Kazakhstan leads the Championship 3 points ahead of Great Britain and Ukraine with one day remaining. Today against Poland they had a 3-0 lead after 2 periods but Poland scored twice in the third to make it nervous till the end but Maksim Semenov scored 4-2 at 59:08 when Poland had pulled the goalie.

The host Ukraine still hopes for the gold medals and beat Estonia 5-2 tonight. Aleksandr Materukhin scored twice for Ukraine and Andrei Makrov scored both the Estonian goals. "It's a tradition for me to score against Ukraine," said Makrov.
