Renon plays two excellent periods but passing out victory allowing Nomad two points saying goodbye to the Cup
Renon needs a victory to keep hopes alive after the unlucky debut against Yunost, while Nomad, after a brilliant first game against Sheffield, want three more points to come at the decisive clash with Yunost tomorrow. Both teams already crossed the sticks during semi-finals in Collalbo, when Nomad won 3-1. Kazakh team added goalie Dmitri Malgin as back-up in the roster; Renon has defender Bretton Stamler back in the ice after the suspension. After a couple of chances for Nomad, Renon opens the score thanks to Alex Frei, dogged in recovering and protecting a puck in his defensive zone, serving Kyle Jean for a brilliant finish. Surviving a power play, Renon doubles the score with a precise shot by Roland Hofer served by Thomas Spinell. At the shoot-out Grents and Lutz both score the first series, Viktor Ahlstrom scores, while Petukhov has his shot rebounds, Nikita Mikhalis nets his penalty shot, Kramar saves on Oskar Ahlstrom, Ilya Kovzyalov and Kyle Jean not convert, Pavel Zdhakhin scores while Alex Frei finally has his shot rebounded for a 2 points victory for Nomad, now has to bet everything on game against Yunost. Renon is officially eliminated from the race for the plate
