Once again the small city of Naryn steals the title off the capital Bishkek
For the second consecutive season the title of Kyrgyzstan League stayed away from the capital Bishkek: Dordoi Ala-Too, from the small city of Naryn, in the centre of the country, confirms the title won last season by beating 6-5 in a dramatic final, with the decisive goal scored less than a minute from the final siren, the Kyrgyz Temir Jolhy Bishkek, a newly formed team after the reform desired by the federation on the way to professionalize the hockey system, that has excluded almost all the more traditional clubs. To complete the great season for Naryn hockey, Keneshskie Piloty, from the city of Kenesh, in the same Naryn region, took the bronze trashing 8-0 Cholpon-Ata. In the semifinals, played at best of two games, Dordoi won 12-1 and 8-4 the fellow Keneshskie Piloty and also Kyrgyz Temir had no problem to take out Cholpon-Ata, destroyed 9-1 and 9-0.
The 2017-2018 Kyrgyzstan League were played in three rounds - in December, February and April - with the participation of seven clubs from all over the country. The finals were played at the skating rink of capital Bishkek. All the results available on Eurohockey
