Arlan Kokshetau ceased to exist
The club, winner of Continental Cup just two seasons ago, succumbed to debits
Two weeks before the start of the new season in Kazakhstan Arlan Kokshetau announced its closure due to unsolved financial difficulties. The coaching staff and all players are disbanded and free to find a new job
The Kokshetau club was founded in 2009 by Ramazan Aigaybekov and Vyacheslav Mironov. The team won the championship of Kazakhstan in 2017-18 and twice the Kazakhstan Cup (2012 and 2013) and was the champion of the Continental Cup, the first ever trophy for a Kazakh club, in 2018-19 season
In the last weeks Arlan Kokshetau fans asked for help from the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin, the Governor (Akim) of the Akmola region Yermek Marzhikpaev. Recently, another, the fourth, public procurement competition for servicing a hockey team was held.The tender was again declared invalid.
