Swiss U20 head coach Marco Bayer made squad reductions. The Swiss U20 national team will travel to Canada for the World Juniors on Sunday with a squad of three goalkeepers and 25 field players. After entering the country, the team is subject to a four-day quarantine, after which the preparation will continue until Christmas Eve.

The final Swiss U20 World Cup squad (3 goalkeepers, 22 field players) will be announced on Wednesday, December 23rd. Switzerland will open the World Cup at Christmas with the game against Slovakia. The minimum Swiss goal for the U20 World Cup is quarter-final qualification.
