Latvia and Belarus still undefeated
After the second day of the World U20 Championship Divisian 1A in Denmark Latvia and Belarus still have a perfect record.
The day started with a game where Norway bounced back from a loss to Latvia on the first day by beating Kazakhstan 5-2. After 29:15 scoreless minutes Norway scored 4 goals in less than 10 minutes.
Hungary was no problem for Belarus who had a 5-1 lead after the first period and finally won 8-2. Alexander Suvorov and Sergei Kuznetsov scored 2 goals each and Vitaly Pinchuk had 5 points (1+4). Belarus have now scored 17 goals in 2 games.
Denmark lost big to Belarus on day one but almost beat Latvia today. Denmark had a 4-2 lead but Raivis Ansons scored for Latvia with just one second remaining of the secod period. Rihards Simanovičs tied it at 54:18 and Ansons got the game-winner for Latvia with 1:26 remaining with his second goal of the night.
There is a day off tomorrow and on Wednesday these games are played: Latvia - Belarus, Hungary - Norway and Kazakhstan - Denmark.
