Since the NHL was founded in Canada, you will find more Canadian teams in the league than you will in the other major sports leagues. The Tampa Bay Lightning has won the championship the past few years, so it will be interesting to see if they can take home the trophy for the third time in a row.

National Basketball Association

The NBA is another of the major sports leagues in the USA. Basketball is without a doubt one of the most popular sports in the USA, and millions of Americans love to go cheer for their favorite basketball teams and some of the most famous sports stars in the world. The NBA was founded in 1946 which means it is the youngest of the four sports leagues in the Big Four. The NBA consists of 30 teams where 29 teams are American and only one team is Canadian. Currently, the Milwaukee Bucks are the reigning champions, but the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers have won the most championships throughout time.

Major League Baseball

Last, but not least, baseball also has a major league in the USA. The MLB is the biggest baseball league in the USA, and it is also the oldest of the four sports leagues in the Big Four. The MLB consists of two different leagues, namely the National League and the American League. The National League was founded in 1876 while the American League was founded in 1901. Two years later, the two leagues were brought together and became Major League Baseball. Today, the league consists of 30 teams with only one of the teams being Canadian. The Atlanta Braves are the current champions while the New York Yankees have won the most titles throughout time.
