Wins for Cardiff Devils (U.K) and Acroni Jesenice (SLOV) meant they are the early leaders of this group.
Acroni Jesenice fought back from two goals down in the early game to win 3-2 in overtime. Homegrown player ERIC PANCE was the hero with a goal after three minutes of overtime.
Cardiff Devils made the perfect start to their IIHF Continental Cup Group E campaign with a 3-1 victory over Ducs D'Angers at Ice Arena Wales on Friday night.
Facing the side second in the Ligue Magnus the game was a tight affair until RYAN PENNY made it three for the Devils with just 4.26' to go as he beat Angers netminder Evan Cowley who had kept them in the game to this point.
