Japanese team confirms the favoritism in World Championship Division 1B in Tallinn demolishing a weak Netherlands
Japan, one of the promotion candidates, needs 15 minutes to broke the resistance of the newly promoted Netherlands and earn the first three points in the race to be promoted to Division 1A on the first day of the Division 1B World Championship, held in the beautiful Tondiraba Arena of Tallinn.
The Japanese demostrated superior technique and speed to their opponents and showed off the promising Teruto Nakajima, author of 2 goals and an assist on his debut for the national team. Dutch goalkeeper Ruud Leeuwesteijn kept his side afloat with several crucial saves, but also made a couple of fumbles which cost avoidable goals. But with 47 shots received, he really went the extra mile. With just 16 shots on target, the Dutch spent most of the game trying to counter the Japanese attacks. It will be difficult for the Oranje to avoid the relegation in a group with very strong teams
