Ammonia leak halts PENNY DEL top match – Arena evacuated

The PENNY DEL clash between the Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven and ERC Ingolstadt on Friday evening was cut short after just 20 minutes with the score at 0:2.

During the first intermission, an ammonia line beneath the ice was accidentally punctured while securing a goal post, causing a gas leak. Players were immediately sent to the locker rooms, and the arena in Bremerhaven was evacuated for safety reasons.

Up until the abrupt end, Ingolstadt's offensive prowess had lived up to their slight favoritism, with goals from Fabio Wagner in the 8th minute and Philipp Krauß in the 13th. The fate of the remaining 40 minutes remains a mystery, leaving fans to wonder how the game might have unfolded.

The league has yet to announce an official decision on the incident, but a rescheduling of the match is expected.
