Severstal earned its biggest win of the season when they beat Barys Astana 7-1 today. The top scorer of the entire KHL, Vadim Shipachev, got another 3 assists. He has now scored 38 points in 26 games.
Young defenseman Maxim Chudinov also had a 3-point game with a goal and a pair of assists. Mikko Lehtonen scored twice. The other Severstal goals were scored by Nikolai Kazakovtsev, Evgeny Ketov, Andrei Sidyakin and Alexander Stepanov.
For the second time this season Vityaz managed to score six goals in a game and they also won their biggest win of the season when Automobilist was beaten 6-1. Nikita Dvurechensku, Georgy Belousov, Sergei Lesnukhin, Alexei Troschinsky, Mikhail Zhukov and Nikita Tochitsky scored the goals. Danila Alistratov in the net made 24 saves.

Spartak continues to lose. This was their eighth home game in a row without a win. Vladimir Antipov scored two goals for Traktor. Evgeny Kuznetsov got a goal and two assists. Alexander Buturlin, Andrei Popov, Gennady Razin and Alexander Ryazantsev also scored for Traktor. Marcel Hossa scored Spartak's goal.
Slovak goalie Rastislav Stana made 40 saves when CSKA beat the Moscow rivals Dynamo 2-0. Alexander scored 1-0 in the second period and Ilya Zubov made it 2-0 a few minutes before the end.
