Severstal earned its biggest win of the season when they beat Barys Astana 7-1 today. The top scorer of the entire KHL, Vadim Shipachev, got another 3 assists. He has now scored 38 points in 26 games.

Young defenseman Maxim Chudinov also had a 3-point game with a goal and a pair of assists. Mikko Lehtonen scored twice. The other Severstal goals were scored by Nikolai Kazakovtsev, Evgeny Ketov, Andrei Sidyakin and Alexander Stepanov.

Nikita Dvurechensku, Georgy Belousov, Sergei Lesnukhin, Alexei Troschinsky, Mikhail Zhukov and Nikita Tochitsky scored the goals. Danila Alistratov in the net made 24 saves.
