Amur Khabarovsk won last the game against Sibir Novosibirsk this season. Both teams started the game with their backup goalies Alexei Murygin and Yuri Klyuchnikov. Amur began with a goal at 4th minute of the first period, when in a counter-attack 21-year forward Sergey Plotnikov scored after a pass from Petr Vrana. Sibir scored twice with Aleksandr Suglobov and Stepan Sannikov in a three minute and thirty one second span in the second period to erase the 1-0 deficit.
"Some players lost their concentration in the second period," Amur coach Hannu Jortikka said to the official Amur site. "They stopped playing hockey and lost fire in their eyes."
Amur defenseman Vitaliy Shulakov tied the game at 40:38. Dmitry Lugin with a power-play goal in the middle of third period gave Amur the third win in four games against Sibir.
"We played one of our best games this year," Sibir head coach Andrey Tarasenko said to Amur's official site. "What a shame that we lost the game, but we said to our guys that we're proud of them."

Avangard goalie Karri Rämö made the fifth shutout this season with 21 blocked shots and took a lead in the shutout-goalie race. Aleksandr Frolov scored the lonely goal in the shootout to give his team the win over the Slovakian team.
"We underestimated our opponent, especially in the first minutes," Frolov said Avangard's official site. "The game was very nervous, if Karri Rämö didn't make some great saves, the result could be another."
HC Lev goalie Jan Laco earned his fourth shutout this season.
"I can give our team mark 3 out of 5. We had chances to score in first period," HC Lev head coach Radim Rulik said to Avangard's official site. "In some moments Jan Laco made fantastic saves, and in the end of the game Ladislav Nagy should score."

Maxim Sushinsky in his first game for Metallurg Mg didn't earn any points, but have seen a happy-ending for his new team. Juhamatti Aaltonen scored in the middle of the game after a mistake by CSKA goalie Sergey Gayduchenko. At 48:33 Vyacheslav Buravchikov tied the game with a power-play goal with Metallurg defenseman Ville Lajunen in the box with boarding. Then Sergei Mozyakin didn't score from a penalty shot after a foul from Aleksandr Guskov. With four minutes and twenty second left to play Sergei Shirokov gave a one-goal lead to the Moscow team.
"Before we scored the second goal our guys showed a great performance," said Julius Supler to Metallurg's official site.
Trailing CSKA 1-2 Metallurg made a comeback with goals by Denis Khlystov and Juhamatti Aaltonen in the last minutes of the game.
"In the last three minutes we made two mistakes, which any team shouldn't do when they have a lead," Supler said. "But it's not caused by game discipline; it's all about experience, which Metallurg players have more."

The game between Atlant Mytischi and Ak Bars Kazan was goalless as Avangard- HC Lev early in the afternoon. Both goalies Konstantin Barulin from Atlant and Petri Vehanen from Ak Bars earned a shutout, and only one goal in the shootout by Dmitri Upper leads Atlant to the 10th straight win with head coach Jan Karlsson, who replaced Bengt-Åke Gustafsson in November.
"Today was a great game, high speed, good teams and goalies," Karlsson said to Atlant's official site. "Of course, there are some things, which can be liked by us. First of all, it was in the beginning of the game when Ak Bars showed a great pressure on our defense."

Aleksandrs Nizivijs and Martins Karsums scored to give Riga a two-goal lead in the first period. Alexander Radulov converted a power-play chance into a goal from Vitaly Proshkin's assist at 27:08. Ufa scored twice in a 55-second span in the third period. Igor Grigorenko tied the game at 45:55 and Radulov scored his second goal this night at 46:50. Petr Schastlivy scored with 1:57 remaining to lift Salavat Yulaev to a 4-2 victory at Arena Riga.
