Dynamo Minsk won against Avangard Omsk on the road at the first game of the day. Geoff Platt opened the scoring at 9:57 with a pass from Daniel Corso. In the middle of the second period Teemu Laine converted a pass from Zbynek Irgl into a two-goal lead for Dynamo. Three minutes later Evgeny Orlov fed a pass to Anton Kuryanov, who scored a first and last goal for Avangard this night. Daniel Corso made it 1-3 with 56 seconds left in the second period with Aleksandr Frolov in the penalty box for illegal equipment. In a scoreless third period, Karri Rämö stopped 8 shots and his goalie opponent Kevin Lalande stopped 7 shots and earned his team an away victory.
"Dynamo Minsk played very effective and used all our mistakes," Rostislav Cada, Avangard head coach said to Avangard's official site. "Our main problem is that our forward not playing aggressively. Our team played slow and intricately."

Metallurg Magnitogorsk won a 7th straight home game beating HC Lev. But things didn't go so good for home team. At 32:38 Juraj Mikus gave Slovaks an 1-0 lead with Sergey Mozyakin in the penalty box for delay of game. After that Metallurg forward did his best and scored two power-play goals at 38:21 and 44:07. In the tying goal Metallurg Magnitogorsk novice Maxim Sushinsky gained a first point for his new team. HC Lev outshot Metallurg 27-21, but it didn't help the Slovaks to earn any point in the Urals.
"We played in a good way, but we had a lot of penalties," Radim Rulik head coach of HC Lev said to Metallurg's official site. "I don't know why the officials didn't count our second goal. I think that was a tying game."
In the first period the teams scored a goal each. CSKA opened the scoring at 6:03 with Alexey Yashin's goal. 57 seconds later Artyom Bulyanski finished a pass from Evgeny Blokhin and tied the game. Yugra pulled ahead 2-1 in the second with a Sergey Demagin goal at 24:28. CSKA made it 2-2 when Sergey Shirokov used a power-play chance. Two minutes later Yugra's forward Pavel Vorobyev closed it 3-2.

Nefthekhimik snapped Atlant's 10 game winning streak. Egor Milovzorov and Kirill Knyazev scored 43 seconds apart in the first period to give Neftekhimik a quick 2-0 lead. Until the first period came to an end Atlant tied the game with power-play goals by Branko Radivojevic and Maxim Semyonov. In the middle of the second period the Atlant's goalie Dmitry Kotschnew made a mistake getting the puck into his own net after a shot of Denis Sergeyev. Atlant head coach Jan Karlsson relieved Kotschnew in the 2nd intermission. Neftekhimik got an empty-net goal with 11 seconds remaining to salt away 4-2 victory at Arena Mytischi.

The most exciting game of the day was in Saint-Petersburg, where Salavat Yulaev beat SKA 5-4 in overtime. SKA gained a quick lead in the first period with Ivan Nepryaev and Maxim Rybin goals. In the first minutes of the second Salavat Yulaev turns game into their account. Aleksandr Radulov, Viktor Kozlov, Oleg Saprykin goals for six minutes gained the away team a one-goal lead. Radulov made it 4-2 with 1 second left in the second period when he fought near the net after Vitaliy Proshkin's shot. SKA made a comeback in the third. Firstly, Ivan Nepryaev scored on the power-play to cut the lead to 4-3. And when it was near 28 seconds to play Tony Mårtensson tied the game with a shot after a rebound.
In the overtime Alex Radulov completed the hat-trick with 1:24 to play and gave his team an epic win against the leader of the league.
"Salavat Yulaev played better than we, especially after the first intermission," Milos Riha head coach of SKA said to Salavat Yulaev's official site. "We thought that we scored a lot of goals in an easy way. In the end of the game Alex Radulov, who are hungry for the goals, closed the game by himself."

In the last game of the day Dynamo Riga played against Ak Bars at home ice. Juris Upitis opened the scoring in the end of the first period. It was the third goal in six games for the young Latvian player. In the first minutes of the second Oleg Petrov and Maxim Spiridonov gave a one-goal lead for Ak Bars Kazan. It was the first goal this season for 40-years old Petrov. Danis Zaripov closed it 3-1 with a pass from Niko Kapanen at 49:53.
