U20: Hungary beats Italy
Hungary came from behind to defeat Italy 2-1 in the U20 Super Challenge in Karlstad, avoiding last place in the tournament. Despite Nicolò Remolato's early goal for Italy, Hungary secured the win with goals from Krisztián Franyó and Barnabás Lőczi, dominating the shot count 49-24.
The U20 Super Challenge in Karlstad saw Vålerenga Ishockey claim the top spot, finishing with four wins and one loss, followed closely by France and Färjestad BK. BIK Karlskoga secured fourth place, while Hungary and Italy struggled, finishing fifth and sixth respectively, with Italy failing to win any games. The tournament featured standout performances from players like Agust Kittel (BIK) and Robinson Djian (France), who led the scoring chart.

Färjestad BK defeated Leksands IF, 4-1, in todays only preseason game among the Swedish SHL teams. Färjestads goalscorers were: Johan Persson, Milan Gulas (2) and Robbie Earl.

Asplöven (HockeyAllsvenskan) defeated MODO (SHL) 4-2 in todays game in Varda Cup. Asplöven ended up in second place total in Varda Cup and MODO ended up in last. Luleå HF won the tournament. Frölunda HC won their preseason game against Färjestad BK 4-2 in Stenungsund today.

A few days ago Lars Jonsson announced his retirement due to injury now also Färjestad's Sanny Lindström has been forced to retire after a concussion he suffered in a European Trophy game against Jokerit on October 28.

In the only game of the day in Elitserien Färjestad won 1-0 against Djurgården in an even game with chances on both ends. Patrik Lundh scored the only goal assisted by Mikael Johansson who made his 26th assist and is leading the league in assists.
