Up against the team that progressed from Round 2 Sheffield opened the scoring after just two minutes through youngster ALEX GRAHAM when he collected a pass from his captain and shot low past the Olimp netminder. Sheffield seemed to be first to all the loose pucks and had the better of the first period but could not increase their lead. However, after half an hour of the game MATHIAS SOINTU rifled a one timer past Bonsch-Brujevic from a face off pass. Despite strenuous atttempts the scored stayed at 2-0.
Olimp stepped things up in the third and got a goal back through MEZARAUPS and the game was tight until Steelers gained their sixth powerplay and JONATHAN PHILLIPS turned in a slapshot from Todd. A final bit was excitement was created when REDLIHS scored with just 1.50 to go but Sheffield saw the game out to win 3-2.
