Goals and assists
Glasgow Clan moved level with Cardiff Devils in second thanks to a two-goal road win over Manchester Storm.
Storm
took the lead early on - just 101 seconds had been played when Mitchell
Martan opened the scoring with what turned out to be the period's only
goal.
Clan were level 4:48 into period two with a goal credited
to Robert Lachowicz, the puck rolling towards the goal line but being
cleared and the question being did it cross the line or not? While the
goal was initially waived off on the ice, the officials huddled and
changed their on-ice decision to "goal" before heading to video review -
the goal was given. Less than 90 seconds later, Jordan Cownie put Clan
ahead.
Santeri Haarala levelled for Storm 2:04 later on the
powerplay, but Clan were to lead by two at the second intermission. Luke
Lynch hit a double - getting on a rebound from a Matt Barry shot at
21:25 on a powerplay, and then racing through shorthanded to beat Evan
Weninger glove side at 35:43.
Storm had chances to get themselves
back into the game in period three, but could take of advantage neither
of a Dyson Stevenson Roughing minor, nor Cody Sol getting a 2+2 for a
High Stick a minute later, which saw them play 59 seconds 5-on-3.
Weninger was pulled with 2:38 to play, but the hosts were unable to find
another goal.
