Fribourg-Gottéron - SC Bern 6:1In the derby against SC Bern home team Fribourg-Gottéron couldn't have a better start. After nine minutes they were already 2-0 in front after goals by Afanasenkov and Bykov. The middle period also began with a fast goal by the hosts through Hasani who scored after only 15 seconds. Just 33 seconds later the guests from Bern showed a sign of life and Bertschy could cut the lead to two when Martin Plüss passed the puck to him directly in front of the goal. The hope for the guests was destroyed already in the 23rd minute when Hasani scored a wrap-around goal. At the end of the period it was Jeannin with a one-timer who increased the lead further. Before the guests had already changed their goalie but with little success. With ten minutes left to play in the game Lukas Gerber made the final score of 6-1 perfect. Now Fribourg.Gottéron not only is first in the NLA table but also is the first team of the league to be qualified for the playoffs.
HC Lugano - EHC Biel 4:3 SOIn Lugano it was Biel that wanted to keep the distance to their chaser Genève. After 12:36 Beaudoin opened the score for the guests when he made a nice deke in the front of the goalie and brought the puck over the goal line with a back hander. Just half a minute later a hard and well-placed shot from Rintanen into the left corner tied the game. After 24 minutes it was again Kimmo Rintanen who turned the game completely around for Lugano when he deflected a puck into the net. Around "half time" Preissing brought Biel back into the match with his equalizer in the power play. Shortly before the second break Hendry brought Lugano back in front when he also scored with the men advantage. His shot was not very hard but the goalie had no chance to see it when a couple of players of both teams stood in front of him. In the 48th minute Biel tied the game again. In this situation the hosts were extremly unlucky. Although Bordeleau is the official goal scorer, it was Lugano's Hendry who deflected the puck into the net with his skates. As there were no goals whether in the rest of the regular time nor in the overtime, the shootout had to bring the decision and here Lugano secured the extra point.
Kloten Flyers - HC Davos 1:2In Kloten the fans had to wait very long for goals as nothing notable happend during the first two periods. Also the last 20 minutes began without real danger for the goalies of each side but when Forster scored with a back hander into the left corner with exactly four minutes left to play to bring Davos in front, it seemed both teams wanted to make good the previous two periods. Alrady in the last minute of play Dario Bürgler increased the lead for the guests. As in the previous goal home goalie Rüeger did get something of the puck but not enough to stop it. 29 seconds before the end of the regular time Wick scored in his penalty shot attempt but it was too late for the hosts to get points.
Genève-Servette HC - Rapperswil-Jona Lakers 4:1For Genève there was the big chance to get closer to Biel in their home game against the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers. Already after eight minutes it was Fritsche who opened the score for the hosts. Five minutes later Thibaudeau tied the game when his shot from behind the goal found the skates of Servette defender Drachsler from where the puck was deflected into the net. But Genève continued with its offensive efforts and Rico Fata brought them back in front two minutes before the break. Now the fans had to wait until the 52nd minute when Flurin Randegger placed his shot in the right bottom corner to get a two-goal lead. In the same minute Simek decided the game with a back hander. The 4-1 was also the final score after 60 minutes. Genève is now five points behin Biel.
ZSC Lions - SCL Tigers 4:3 SOZhe ZSC Lions had a great come back in their home game against the SCL Tigers. Although Down brought the home team in front after six minutes, goals by Popovic (16.), Rexha (23.) and McLean (27.) let Langnau already look like the winner. In the middle of the last period it was Seger with goals in the 47th and 54th minute who tied the game for Zürich. After the overtime didn't find a winner, Zürich won the shootout and therefore the extrapoint to make their comeback in this match perfect.
EV Zug - HC Ambrì-Piotta 2:3 OTBefore the game day EV Zug was the leader of the NLA. In their home game against underdogs Ambrì-Piotta they had more problems than they might have thought before. After 13 minutes Perrault brought Ambrì-Piotta in front. One minute before the first break this leas was even increased by Kutlak. In the middle period none of the teams could change the result but with the start of the last 20 minutes EV Zug finally found into the game. After 43 minutes Holden cut the lead to just one and a minute before the end of the regular time Damien Brunner even tied the game when his team had just pulled out the goalie for another attacker. Late inthe overtime Botta scored the game winner for Ambri which at least won the extra point.
