Lee Goren scores three goals when Skellefteå takes a 2-1 lead in the semi final against AIK. Brynäs is also up 2-1 against Färjestad.
Skellefteå - AIK 5-1 (series: 2-1)
It was a complete domination by the home team from the start of this game. Viktor Fasth kept AIK in the game for a long time but after 11:38 in the second period Melker Karlsson scored the important first goal. AIK got a chance to come back with a late power play in the second period but instead Skellefteå got a breakaway and Jimmie Ericsson was brought down from behind. Oscar Möller made no and scored on a penalty shot for the second game in a row.
At the beginning of the third AIK took several penalties and Lee Goren made both 3-0 and 4-0 on the power play, the last one on 5 on 3 after a stupid penalty by a frustrated Viktor Fasth who also left the ice after the fourth goal replaced by Markus Svensson. After the fourth goal Skellefteå lost a bit of concentration and allowed Joakim Nordström to score his first goal of the playoff on a breakaway.
AIK pulled the goalie early and scored with three minutes left, but left was disallowed, not really clear if it was for a player in the crease or for scoring with a kick and instead Lee Goren could score his third goal of the game for 5-1 on the empty net.
Brynäs - Färjestad 4-2 (series: 2-1)Brynäs took the lead three times in this game, Färjestad tied the game twice but didn't manage to tie it a third time.
Johan Larsson opened the scoring halfway through the first period and almost exactly one period later Rickard Wallin tied the game after a great play by Patrik Lundh. Three minutes Brynäs took the lead again when Martin Johansson scored when Jesper Ollas made his second assist of the game.
A mistake by Brynäs with just over three minutes left to play of the second period ended with an open net for Christian Berglund to make it 2-2. Also in the third period a goal was scored just before the halfway mark. Jonas Nordquist scored after a bad pass by Färjestad in their own zone.
Despite only having four shots on goal in the third period, Brynäs scored twice. Jakob Silfverberg closed the game with an empty net goal with 29 seconds left.
