MODO Hockey have signed NHL star Maxime Lapierre, the club announced today. The contractc is signed for two years. -"Lapierre have the offensive qualities that we miss," MODOs' General Manager Per Svartvadet said.
MODO Hockey have signed a heavy piece in Maxime Lapierre, 30. The NHL star have put his signature on the paper for two years and MODO's GM Per Svartvadet is thrilled: -"This is a player with great character. He's used to play in almost every position as a forward and he have a great experience playing in NHL."
In 614 NHL career games, Lapierre have recorded a total of 139 points. He's currently coming from Pittsburgh Penguins and will join MODO as soon as possible. Lapierre has also represented St. Louis Blues, Vancouver Canucks, Anaheim Ducks och Montreal Canadiens. He's known for being a hard working forward, who's giving all for his team and teammates. He likes to play a physical game and be a teaser for the opponents.
-"In NHL, Lapierre have had the role to play against the best offensive lines and he did a good job. Vi have high expectations that he will contribute offensively for MODO Hockey in SHL," Svartvadet said to modohockey.se
