Aleksandr Materukhin voted Player of the Year in Ukraine

Voted by journalists and coaches the forward wins the player of the year award.
Donbas Donets'k forward
Aleksandr Materukhin
was elected 2011 Ukranian Player of the Year. Last season was really
remarkable for Materukhin: he won Belarusian League and Continental Cup
with Yunost Minsk and was awarded as best forward and top scorer in IHWC
Division I and Continental Cup.
The Ukrainian Federation conducted the survey
between journalists and coaches: Materukhin, 31, gained 102 points, one
more then Sokil Kyiv forward
Konstantin Kasyanchuk, who won the award last year. His teammate at Donbas
Sergei Varlamov was third with 82 points.
Ukranian All-Star team was also determined according to final votes:
