LEV Praha appointed Sparta Praha's head coach Vaclav Sykora as their new head coach. Former LEV coach Josef Jandac replaces him at Sparta
LEV Praha's General Manager Normunds Sejejs announces that the new head coach of the Prague team will be current Sparta Praha coach Vaclav Sykora. His place in Sparta will be taken by former Lev coach Josef Jandac, who was fired by Lev two weeks ago.
"Jandac is a good coach. But we are looking for professionals with experience in the KHL. Sykora meets these requirements. His only condition was to find a suitable replacement in Sparta or he would not leave. I believe that Jandac fully meets these requirements" Sejejs said..
60-year-old Sykora had previously worked in the KHL with SKA. In the 2010/11 season, he was first an assistant coach, and then replaced fired Ivano Zanatta, but didn't get an extension to his contract by SKA after leaving the team out of the playoffs.
