Hockey champagne at Fribourg

Hockey champagne at Fribourg

27 Nov 2012 | Luis Lopes

Winners of their last three games, the Fribourg dominated Zürich (7-4). The Dragons did not wait long to score against Lukas Flüeler; EHC Biel power-play get booed by Biel fans; Brunner scores an hattrick against Davos;

Davos 4 Zug 5

The first three shots of the EV Zug have result on three goals. The top scorer Damien Brunner demonstrated in the Vaillant Arena how good he is. Damien Brunner, perfectly supported by Henrik Zetterberg, Linus Omark and defender Raphael Diaz, made his first hattrick this season on Swiss ice. Young talent Lino Martschini (19) showed his class and with 5:1 before the second intermission, the game was decided early. The comeback try for Davos in the final third deserves mention and is an indication that Davos still has it. 31 saves for Finnish goalie Jussi Markannen.

Bern 5 Ambri 1

No problems to SC Bern against Ambri-Piotta. With a disciplined game by the team coached by Antti Törmänen the game came easy. Ryan Gardner led Bern with two goals. Bern seems to have learned the lesson from the last home game against Biel at least for now.

Biel 1 Kloten 2

Tyler Seguin played so uninspired that despite the 20 goals in 21 games he and his four team-mates on power-play were booed by Biel fans. Clearly was not his night. The game was bored one. So bored that he has finish 15 minutes before the normal. That's a bad sign. Lukas Meili and Reto berra have done the rest. 30 saves for the Kloten goalie, 31 for the home team goalie.

Fribourg 7 Zürich 4

Hockey champagne by Fribourg-Gotteron. The ZSC Lions were cleared with 7:4. The decision of this game was made in the first nine minutes. The team of Hans Kossmann came with a fast skating giving no chances to defending champions Zürich Lions. The Swiss champions presented itself in Fribourg with a poor defensive system. In last eleven games, they won just four. For the fourth time in their last seven games, the team of Marc Crawford conceded five or more goals. From the last two games against Davos (1:6) and Fribourg (4:7) 13 goals conceded. In Fribourg David Desharnais managed to score the first goal in the Swiss league.

Lakers 1 Geneva 2

After four losses in the last five games Geneva win one game in the road . The leader win in Rapperswil-Jona by 2-1. Servette played very carefully and was always careful to make no mistakes. And because of final result, the performance of the Geneva may be described as clever. 42 saves to Geneva goalie Tobias Stephan.

Langnau 0 Lugano 2

Without self-confidence, the SCL Tigers are not only in an absolute bad shape, but they also have additional injuries. Without several regulars Langnau lost at home against Lugano  This time 0:2. Once again home team got a miserable start. After just 46 seconds and a shot of Lugano top scorer Glen Metropolit they were already behind the score. And when Matteo Nodari score after twelve minutes the game was done. Langnau was unable to respond. Lugano goalie Michael Flückiger, who seems to pick the number 1 spot from Daniel Manzato, celebrated his second shutout of the season.
