Cup Grain Union of Kazakhstan, Day 2

In the derby of Karaganda, the victory was celebrated by the more experienced players from Temirtau. The match started with a sort of hit the ground running. The teams looked at each other. But slightly added speed by the Lions changed the scoreboard numbers. A double combination Björk - Krajči, and an exact finish by the Slovak player. 

The game was developed with the benefit of Arystan. All credit to Viatcheslav Belan and the players from Karaganda. They kept the defense clearly and correctly pressed the rival. In the second period the team visibly gained traffic and activity. Rove was a rare visitor in the middle zone, were increasingly caught in the zone of one of the teams. 

Arystan looked more interesting, and it is not surprising that within three minutes, two goals flew into Silantiev’s net. Glotov first lit the red light for gate and then Igor Bobček brought the score to 3-0. And again not without Krajči. Robert had two assists.

Before the third period, it was clear who would win, so, frankly, the teams finished the match. Tikhonov did not allow Žhitkov to get a shutout. And in the middle of the final period Arystan scored the final goal of the match. Tarasov passed on, and Veretennikov took the shot at Silantiev. To sum it up – 4: 1 in favor of the "Lions". 

The second match between Arlan and Gornyak was rich of events. The first period was equal, and to give someone give preference was tricky. In the ending of the period Michael Smolnikov made a beautiful save on a shot by O’Connor but exactly one minute O’Connor scored.

What happened to Gornyak after the break is not clear. This is the case, when the wolves turned out all but the pitmen nothing. The second period ended 5: 0 in favor of the hosts. Markelov, Gaspar, Lewinski, Popravka, Mašlonka- these are the players who lit the red light bulb behind the net of Rudny. To say more about this period, seems to have no meaning. 

But respect for, "black and white" and their character. Despite the 1: 6 they did their best to escape from the crushing, patronized by Andrei Zalipâtskih. And it succeeded. The most active guest line Shipitsyn-Sevostyanov-Krasavin scored first, and five minutes before the end Zhdanov beat Kosovsky. The final result of the match is 6:3. 

Yet the victory of "Arlan» looks legitimate and logical. It looks like right now players are starting to realize the vision of Vladimir Klinga.

What will be tomorrow? 

Tomorrow we will have the most interesting. In the match for the first place Arlan meets Arystan. Both teams are still far from their best physical conditions, but to hockey they have grown used. Tomorrow we will not see a friendly match. Both teams are eager to enter the new season on a positive note. 

As for the match Gornyak-Berkut, this match also would benefit both teams. And third place, still has not been decided.
