Mexico and Colombia won in Pan-American Tournament open

After several postponements the first Pan-American Tournament began today in Mexico City
The first Pan-American Tournament, endorsed by the IIHF but organized by the Mexican Ice Hockey Federation, started today at the IceDome Sur in Mexico City. Five teams - host Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil and Canada - take part in the tournament. for Brazil and Colombia is hte first ever partecipation in an international competition. Canada roster is a mix of former universitarian and junior players.
In the first day Colombia surprisingly defeated Argentina 11-1 with four goals by Daniel Echeverri the only Colombian player playing in a ice hockey team - Florida Gulf Coast University in ACHA Division 2 - while the others are all inline players. Argentina, where a domestic dispute divided from years the Argentinean Ice Hockey Federation (FAHH) and the Argentinean Icehockey and Inline Federation (AAHHL), sent in Mexico a roster formed by AAHHL players, usually playin inline, and not with icehockey players.
In front of 1.000 spectators Mexico routed Brazil 16-0, alligning the best roster with players usually competing in IIHF World Championship. Brazil is in Mexico without captain Ge Cardoso
